Beverily Hills and the search for reality.

Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles California– It’s a weird little strip.  Mostly high-end designers, but no prices on anything.  It’s like compeletely set up for the wealthy, and no one really says much to you when you walk in the stores.  I’m not sure if it’s because they assume you can’t afford anything in there, or if they just don’t care.  Of course the people that work in the stores are just everyday people with really expensive clothing.  I would imagine they make some kind of commission, and have met movie stars.

The cars that pass down the strip are unbelievable.  It’s like a luxury car show.  The most expensive and amazing cars file by unassumingly.  Bentleys, Mercedes, Ferraris– I think the cheapest car I saw was a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid.

Very secluded gates.  Have you ever gone Sunday driving through a neighborhood to look at the amazing houses?  It’s hard to do that in Beverly Hills.  All the houses are covered by bushes, privacy fences, and gates.  The few glimpses of the homes I did see were at least as impressive as the cars I saw on Rodeo Drive.

Think and Grow Rich, The Secret– Beverly Hills is Disneyland for adults, where money grows on trees, everyone eats cake, and no one gets fat.  Beverly Hills is you, 10 years from now.  I know some of you don’t care about being rich, but it’s not about being rich.  It’s about having the opportunity to experience everything life has to offer, and money is no object.  They don’t even put prices on the freakin’ clothes!  Good Luck!
